World War 3 Continues to Build: Latest Developments as of JANUARY 6TH! Empty World War 3 Continues to Build: Latest Developments as of JANUARY 6TH!

One would have to be asleep at this point not to notice the continued flare ups since the assassination of a senior political figure and American ally in Lebanon, Chatah, On December 27th, 2013. Although violence is common place in the Middle East, the sense across the world is that something has changed.

In the most recent developments, fighting between Syrian forces and northern Syrian rebels have reached an intensity not seen since early 2011.
And, late last night, Iraqi forces had to bomb Al-Qaeda camps along its western border (eastern border of Syria).

In a book published last year by Professor MacMillan entitled “The War That Ended Peace”, she outlines some stark parallels between the 1914 World War I and what is going on right now in the Middle East and abroad.

The toxic nationalism of the Balkans where World War I began all too closely resembles the sectarian violence that continues to deepen across Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and even parts of northern Israel. This has the potential of drawing in major powers like the US, Turkey, Russia and Iran. In fact, those super powers, in the aftermath of Chatah’s assassination, appear to be more pulled into this brewing conflict than ever before.

In 1914, revolutionary communists and anarchists carried out a series of assassinations and bombings in the name of their respective philosophies. In 2014, Islamic terrorists are stoking the fires of war through their continued acts of violence.

In 1914, Germany, restless and ready to tackle the challenges of an emerging new world, had every reason to use the brewing war to seize some sort of advantage on the world scene. And in 2014, China, having been forced to compete in a global economy while it grows and expands both economically and militarily, has similar reasons to strike out on its own.

The people of Lebanon are frustrated that both Syria and Saudi Arabia seem to be using their country as a staging ground for an all out conflict. Syria and Saudi Arabia make no pretenses about their enmity toward each other. And although Saudi Arabia only six hours ago tried to downplay its 3 billion grant to Lebanon from last week, its motives are clear. Saudi Arabia wants to use Lebanon as a hammer to smash Syria. And Syria despises Saudi Arabia.

This explains how these ongoing clashes continue to bolster war since December 27th, 2013: The assassination of Chatah has escalated the build up toward World War 3, just as the assassination of a lone Austrian duke in 1914 lead to the First Great War. affraid affraid affraid
